Kirk Hallam College student voice group make sense of the Big Local Profile

On Friday 14 February, the college’s student council met and looked at ways to make the Big Kirk Hallam profile easier to digest. The profile is the background information about the area which we wrote in the autumn and is vital toward building the Big Local plan.

The full report is here and has a short two page summary at the start:

The group agreed to explore a range of approaches, including preparing a short PowerPoint, producing key information with pictures and graphs, creating a leaflet, some short film clips, posters and pop up banners and a newsletter. The group also wanted to make sure the information they created got out to a range of people and groups, schools and organisations.

The student group has taken on the task to complete before Easter. It is in charge of the budget and the group is supported by Ms Bennett and Ms Burns.

We are very excited about the work the student group is planning and are confident this will make much more accessible the important Profile information.
