Big Kirk Hallam is holding its AGM at Kirk Hallam Community Hall on Saturday 19th September between 2pm and 4pm.
We will be looking back through the year at the achievements and successes of Big Kirk Hallam and the positive changes it has brought to residents and the locality. Everyone is very welcome to attend to come and hear what has been happening, how the money has been spent, what has changed so far and what the plans are for the coming year.
Our annual report will also be available at the meeting and is being delivered to all homes in the Kirk Hallam area over the next few weeks.
At the meeting there will also be the election of residents onto the partnership board. All residents are entitled to stand for the partnership board and will need to fill in a nomination form. (See link below)
Please return the forms to Jsan Shepherd, Plan Coordinator at
or hand into reception at Kirk Hallam Community Academy
Refreshments (drinks and a light buffet) will be provided
Looking forward to seeing you there
We presented the full annual report at the Annual General Meeting at the Academy’s autumn show and we have distributed hard copies through the schools, shops and community centres.
In case you didn’t get one, here it is to download. It tells a simple but great story of how the plan got approved, how the money is being spent as well as stories of listening – action – change along the way. Big Kirk Hallam Annual report
The displays and posters across the back of the hall at the College’s Autumn Show today told the proud story of Big Kirk Hallam from an idea, through forming a vision right through to it being a funded plan of action to help make the area an even better place to live.
Posters of those standing for the partnership board were also on display and those standing will be confirmed in post at our next meeting on 13 October.
Thanks to all those who have worked so hard to get things ready, especially our plan co-ordinator, Kim Bell and Susan and Stella from WashArts.
At the AGM we also took the chance to catch up with two people who have been such champions throughout. Here are Tracy Thorp, vice chair, and Brian Cooper our chair talking about the journey so far.

Finally – thank you to all residents and supporters who continue to keep the spirit alive and who encourage us in so many ways to do the very best we can through Big Kirk Hallam for our local community. Look out for our annual report – it is in hard copy at various locations and will soon be here as a PDF for you to download.
